Three years after the big hooplah, I finally have my own Myspace page! Wow! That's me, staying on top of the latest trends! So come on down and be my friend.

Check out my YouTube channel—formerly an outlet for Bass Guitar Mag, I've commandeered it for my own selfish gains! There are video lessons, gear profiles, and assorted bass wonders from the YouTube universe.

My new Hal Leonard Blues Bass Method is out! This book is the first 100% B.S. free method for blues bass playing. It contains everything you need to know to get out and gig the blues scene. Discussion of blues forms, lines, feels, intros, endings, stop and hits, plus many full length classic arrangements of must-know tunes like: "Born Under A Bad Sign", "Hideaway", "Tore Down", "Pride and Joy", "Sweet Home Chicago" and more. Available NOW! My new Backbeat Book, The R&B Bass Masters. It features bios, gear & setup, technique & style, selected discographies, recommended tracks, and stylistic examples (recorded, standard notation, tab AND drum parts!) for 10 of the greatest early R&B bass players. I'm really proud of this book, and very excited to see it hit the stores. It's my tribute to the great bassists of R&B.

School Of Bass II a Success!!

SOB II was held in Scottsdale, AZ from October 19-22, 2006. Chuck Rainey (Aretha Franklin, Steely Dan) Bobby Vega (Sly & The Family Stone, Tower Of Power), and Mel Brown (LA Studio pro) were headlining clinicians. Core instructors Lynne Davis and Ray Riendeau from the first SOB came back, and of course I was teaching and acting as educational director. There were small group classes with our staff of top-notch teachers, master classes with legends of the bass, and concerts at night where the teachers and clinicians got to show you how it's done. We had over 50 participants from all over the country and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive! Unfortunately, our old website is no longer up and running, but you can read comments and see pictures at The Dudepit School Of Bass Forum
